LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP ANGLE

A significant key to glorifying God is controlling our tongue. Psalm 50:23 says, "He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me...."

What would happen if you gave your mouth to God each day so that only godly words came from your lips? And I'm not just talking about praising and thanking God in your quiet time, or speaking positive, encouraging words over yourself. The health of your relationships depends on how you speak to, over and about others.

Psalm 34:13 says, "Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit." Do you lie to others? Do you insult them or speak ill of them? Or do you speak encouraging, life-giving words that bring joy to everyone you meet?

Dedicate your mouth to God and use it only for what pleases Him, praise and worship, edification and exhortation, and giving thanks. Place your lips on the altar each morning. Give your mouth to God through praying His Word: "O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise" (Psalm 51:15).

Prayer Starter: Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will praise and thank You. Help me use my words to bring joy and life to those around me and to praise and glorify You.

Moisturizes the face: Contrary to what you may think, petroleum jelly is noncomedogenic, making it OK for use as a face cream without worrying about clogged pores so, you can use petroleum jelly instead of using extra money on moisturizers.

Some people can actually be very creative. Check the below Bible verse in pidgin English.

Psalm 23 in Nigerian Pidgin English, I can't stop laughing. Join me:

The Lord na my shepherd, I dey kampe.

2. E make me sidon for where better dey flow yanfu yanfu. And come put me next to stream make my body thermocool.

3. E panel beat my soul come spray am white, come dey lead

God Almighty, Na you biko! AMEN.

1. Money is not evil. It is the love of money that is evil. It is not
wrong for a believer to have money, but it is wrong for money to have a believer. When you have deep emotional attachment for money, it becomes evil.

2. Money alone does not make you rich. We know people who go
to work everyday, working for money, making more money, but
fail to become richer. Ironically, many only grow deeper in
debt with each Naira they earn.
We know lottery winners, instant billionaires who become poor
again, so money alone does not make you rich.

3. Money alone does not solve the problem of money. This is why
giving poor people money does not solve their money problem,it only give them a relief. In many cases, it creates more poor
people.

4. Hard work doesn’t solve money problem. The world is filled with hard working people who have nothing to show for it. Hard working people who earn money, yet grow in debt and need to work even harder to get more money.

5. Education does not solve money problem. There are a lot of educated frustrated people in town. The more the degree the more the disgrace.

6. JOB does not solve money problem. For many people , the letters J.O.B means Just Over Broke.

There are a lot of people
who earn just enough to survive, but cannot afford to live.
Many with jobs cannot afford their own home, adequate
healthcare, education, or even set aside enough for retirement.

7. Both the rich and the poor have money problem.

✔ The money problems of the poor:

_ 👉🏻Not having enough money
_ 👉🏻Using credit to supplement shortage
_ 👉🏻Rising cost of living
_ 👉🏻Paying more in taxes the more they make
_ 👉🏻Fear of emergencies
👉🏻_ Bad financial advice
_ 👉🏻Not enough retirement money
✔The money problems of the rich:

_ 👉🏻Having too much money. STD
( Success Transmitted Disease ) 😀

_ 👉🏻Needing to keep it safe and invested.

_ 👉🏻Needing smarter financial advisor
_ 👉🏻Raising spoiled kids
_ 👉🏻Estate and inheritance planning
_ 👉🏻Excessive government taxes
Now we can see that having money @ hand isn't what solves money problem .....WHAT THEN IS THE SOLUTION TO MONEY PROBLEM
HOW CAN ONE BECOME FINANCIAL STABLE, FEED HIMSELF AND OTHERS CONVENIENTLY
FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE IS THE ANSWER
As believers, If you must be financially great, you must master the following
1. How to generate money
2. How to retain money
3. How to invest money and multiply money.
4. How to spend money
5. You must know how to use the force of faith to make money
 come.
Some people make me laugh, listen to this THAT YOU ARE A PASTOR DOESN'T MAKE YOU A PARTAKER, YOU MUST BE A PRACTITIONER,

Haven't you see believers that are poor, tongue talking, demon chasing , Genuine ministers of God suffer financial lack
Thinking that your enlargment and financial breakthrough will only come by FASTING AND PRAYER is a mistake that a lot of people make.
Let us take those keys one after the other
HOW TO MAKE MONEY
1. You must have a vision. Many people want to be wealthy but
one way or the other, they don’t have any serious reasons why they
should be wealthy and so they don’t do what wealthy people do.
You need a vision that will drive you into further thinking. Vision is
not what you see when you sleep, it is actually what keeps you from
sleeping.
Bishop David Oyedepo said “IF YOU CAN THINK ENOUGH,
WHAT YOU HAVE IS ENOUGH”
This may sound as a heresy but the truth is that thinking is superior
to reading.
While reading is the accumulation of knowledge; thinking is the
cultivation of knowledge.
The mind sees through thinking,
i.e thinking is the eyes of the mind, can you see the connection
between vision and thinking now?
A man that does not think cannot see.
You must see opportunities all around you.
If they are not glaring, look for them
If they are not there, create them. The ability to create something
out of nothing is a mark of greatness.
What needs are there that are not being met by other?
What problems are on ground that are not being solved?
What gap is there that no one is filling?
Money is a reward for solving problems.
It’s a reward for meeting needs.
The greater the problem you solve, the greater the money that
comes to you.
It’s a pity that today’s generation of Africans don’t think, they just
know.
People are not poor because they don’t know; they are poor just
because they won’t think.
2. Be creative
If we cannot improve on the inventions of our fathers, we are
not educated, we are simply decorated. It’s a pity that most African
universities have become ‘uni-cemetries’.
Rather than producing elites that the society will depend on, our
schools now produce parasites that depend on society.
Despite our degrees, we live in so much disgrace. It’s a slap on our
intellectual dignity that we still import products that even trained
monkeys can produce.
Wherever they are, our ancestors will perpetually bite their fingers
in shame and regret….wandering whether we, their grand children
were born with expired brains despite our privileged romance with
western education.
Develop skill outside your certificate, by so doing, you will become
expensive. The proof of education is not certificate, it is creativity.
Second point

HOW TO RETAIN MONEY

Prov. 11:6 says “…strong men retain riches”

As a matter of principle, you must not spend all the money you make
Save a certain fixed % of all the monies you make, regularly and
consistently.
Stop borrowing money for whatever reason. Work and Trust God
for all your supply.
Third point

HOW TO SPEND MONEY

Everybody spends money but not everyone understand
HOW TO
 SPEND MONEY

That’s why there is so much financial trouble all
over the world. The following counsels will help you handle the
money GOD has entrusted you with, with a greater sense of responsibility.

1. Put God first. Pay your tithe

2. Stop all credit purchase. Don’t buy things on credit again

3. Don’t buy what you don’t need. So that you won’t sell what you
 need.

4. Don’t save what is left after spending, spend what is left after
 saving.

5. Don’t be too social.

6. Never promise unless you are sure.

7. Don’t make large purchase unplanned. Do proper ground
work, don’t order goods online anyhow.
HOW TO APPLY THE PRESSURE OF FAITH

1. Pay your tithe as required.
2. give to Gods servants
3. Give to the poor and needy
4. Give sacrificially towards church project.

So, when you are a giver, you can place a demand on the SEEDS you have sown to meet your NEEDS
Lastly and very very important
HOW TO INVEST AND MULTIPLY MONEY

You need multiple streams of income, don’t depend on salary.
If Salary is your only source of income, you are not in line with scriptures

Genesis  2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.  2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.  2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;  2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.  2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.  2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.  2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

When God put Adam in the Garden of Eden, He gave him one
mighty river that parted into four streams and each stream was
 bringing him wealth.
If the economy of Eden depended on four streams to prosper, why
must yours depend on one?

You must sit down and think. God
wants to open new doors of wealth for you. That is part of His
agenda in making you great.

The ‘Urhobo’ are one of the many Nigerian tribes. They are located within the heartland region of the Niger Delta  of Nigeria and are the largest single tribe in the present Delta.

What Do We Mean By Traditional Marriage The Urhobo Way?

Urhobo traditional marriage is unique to Urhobo culture and traditions. Indeed, marriage in Urhobo world view is an enduring institution. It is sacred. It looms large enough to tie two independent families together forever.

It is imperative to note that the Urhobo marriage extends beyond the couples directly involved; it embraces the extended families of the spouses. Indeed, Urhobo marriage is a marriage of two families. This is so because the families play very central roles in ensuring the success of the marital relationships from the time of courtship through the marriage negotiations to the contracting of the marriage.

Divorce is rare; Urhobo traditional marriage endures beyond the life of the husband. Divorce is rare; Urhobo traditional marriage endures beyond the life of the husband. In fact, it is the wife’s life span. This is due to the fact that on the death of the husband, the wife is passed on to a member of the husband’s family for continued marriage. This custom provides emotional and financial stability, and continuity of the marriage.

The families are also expected to intervene or mediate when there are problems or conflicts between husband and wife, and when the marriage relationship is threatened in any way – this is in total contrast to the western marriage system where family intervention is seen as interference.

The nucleus of Urhobo traditional marriage takes various forms. From time, there have been some distinct processes of marriage proposals or types of traditional marriages. Any of these marriage forms are recognised by our society, as they form key aspects of our customs and traditions.

These are:

“Esavwijoto” occurs when parents propose marriage on behalf of their son or daughter at an early age. Pledges of this nature are also made and redeemed, as a result of observed exemplary character of a young girl or boy. It could be made as a reward for exceptional valour. The uses or instances of this concept are infinite. Normally, with this type of marriage, love develops between the couple only after marriage has been officially contracted.

"Ose” - Admitting language limitations in describing one’s concept by another language. Ose is a form of marriage recognized as binding, but in which the traditional dowry has not been paid and accepted as prescribed. Couples may live together or apart, but enjoy full de facto conjugal rights and exclusiveness but limited customary (legal) rights of husband and wife. Some notable distinctions of this type of marriage are that such husband will not be allowed to bury and mourn his would-be parents in law, like a fully married man.

“Arranged Marriage in absentia”- In this case, the male who is usually abroad or outside the Urhoboland or even Nigeria, would request his parents or family to marry a wife of their choice for him. Both potential husband and wife may not have seen or met each other previously. During the marriage ceremony of this type of marriage, the man’s brother or a nominated relative would represent him as husband of the bride.

The wife may be required to spend some time with the absent husband’s family before being dispatched to her new husband. Love may, or may not develop when they meet for the first time. If they like each other, the marriage may be consummated, and is likely to survive. In some cases, either party may refuse to go ahead with the marriage, and call it off.

“Boy-Meets-Girl and Modern Courtship”- This is more or less a modern concept and is not unique or particular to Urhobo culture or tradition of marriage terms.

This process has become one of the current approaches used by modern day boys and girls. In most cases, the parents may not know of the initial courtship until their son or daughter informs them. Both families then get involved. If they agree, marriage plans are then made. The process may first be to do the traditional marriage rites, before proceedings to either the Church marriage or the Registry.

Thank God for Christianity and modernization that has changed some of these practices.

Many people think that the worst thing that could happen to them would be to be thirty five and unmarried. But there is one thing even worse and that is to be thirty five and married to the wrong person.

MARRIAGE TODAY IS USUALLY MARRIAGE OF THE EMOTIONS. IT IS MOSTLY FOR SEX ATTRACTION AND MONEY.
Why? “Asked one of the sisters, “don’t you believe in marriage, master?” questioned a new student. “You often talk as though you were against it.” And the master said, “Marriage today is usually marriage of the emotions. It is mostly for sex attraction and money. I am against that.
Real marriage is made when two people unite to help each other toward God. It must be mostly friendship. Woman is motivated primarily by feelings and man by reason; marriage is meant to balance these qualities. When it is true marriage, I am not against it, but because young people get such poor training these days, there aren’t many real soul unions.

So I say, seek God first – then if you marry you won’t make a mistake.
Don’t hurry into it. Be willing to wait on God’s timing.
I know it is hard and I know the pressure is difficult but you will be glad you waited.

A Very Touching Story....
A poor boy was in love with a rich man's daughter….One day the boy proposed to her and the girl said…”Hey! Listen, your monthly salary is my daily hand expenses..How can I be involved with you..?

How could you have thought of that? I can never love you, so forget about me and get engaged to someone else at your level”

But somehow the boy could not forget her so easily…..Some time 10 years later they stumbled into each other in a shopping mall.

The lady again said….,”Hey.. ! You! How are you? Now I’m married and do you know how much my husband’s salary is..? $15,700 per month! Can you beat that? And he is also very smart”

The guy’s eyes got wet with tears on hearing those words from the same lady….

A few seconds later, her husband came around but before the lady could say a word her husband seeing the guy, said……
“Sir you’re here and you’ve met my wife..” Then he said to his wife,”This is my boss, I’m also one of those working on his $100 million project!

And do you know a fact my dear? My boss loved a lady but he couldn’t win her heart….That’s why he has remained unmarried since.

How lucky would that lady have been, if she had married this my boss now? These days, who would love someone that much?"
He said all these to his wife.

The lady looked in total shock but couldn’t utter a word….

Life is so short and it’s just like a mirror.
You can only see as much as it reflects. So don’t be too arrogant or proud by looking down on others because of their current situations.

Things get changed with time just like the weather..! Don’t under estimate anyone because everyone has a great future!
Where you have been rejected before, you will be celebrated soon in Jesus name, amen.

Are you in love with an Igbo girl and planning to marry her? Then this is for you!
Igbo girls, a sect of Nigerian girls from the south-eastern parts of the country, are one of the most beautiful and intelligent women in the world. However, they have other unique quirks which impact their marriages considerably.

For those who have fallen in love with Igbo girls and are unaware of these other things that come with being eternally linked to them, we have put together a little list to help you understand your wife to be. Please keep in mind that list is applicable to most Igbo girls, but not all, like everything else, there are exceptions to the rule

1. They value the presence of their family

Igbo girls have deep regard for family and so usually want to have members of their family around most of the time. Her relationship with her parents, siblings and even extended family is close knit and she will not compromise or cut them off in a hurry.

Any guy marrying an Igbo girl has to keep in mind that their home will always be packed with family members gossiping, quarrelling and laughing. Even if you decided to live far away from family, be rest assured that she will keep sending random things back home, will get home-sick a lot and so, will be in constant communication with her family.

2. They will speak their language to the children

While most Igbo girls are well-groomed and can speak English without the detection of a local accent, they are usually well-versed in their dialect and are proud to speak it at any time. Even when they marry from other tribes or country, they do not neglect their dialect for their husbands or a foreign one.

Their children most usually speak this mother-tongue first before learning that of their husband or any other language. So also, they tend to pass down unique Igbo traits and traditions to their children even if they are married into other tribes.

3. They will take care of you with love

Igbo girls are beautiful and intelligent, but most of all, they are very caring, hardworking and industrious.

They are generally strong women and while the husband plays the head of the home and brings home the bread, she most likely ends up being the foundation of the house: takes care of the kids, the budget, the food, the home generally. She will not hesitate to take up several jobs to support her husband and family, and she will still fulfill her wifely duty to keep everyone happy.

4. They are very religious

Igbos are very religious people and their preferred religion is Christianity. Most Igbo girls are brought up in strict religious homes and as such, they have the fear of God and the belief in His supremacy instilled in them.

Even when they get emancipated from their parents, they still carry those values with them into their marriage and homes. Be prepared to go to church every Sunday, and observe religious holidays and church programmes once married to an Igbo girl, they hardly compromise on this or convert to other religions.

5. Their local delicacies will fill out the home menu.
Igbos have a large variety of delicious dishes and their women are trained to know these recipes from an early age. They also have a love for their local meals and so they find it difficult to change their diet to food from other areas.

No doubt after marriage, especially if they are married to someone from another country or tribe, they can make the necessary compromise and eat other dishes, but be rest assures that they will not throw their home food completely away. They find ways to cajole their new family into accepting their local dishes and this is usually easy as Igbo meals are usually delicious and the girls are great cooks.
