Kingsley came to Lucinda’s school immediately he heard about what had happened to her. He watched her sleep unsure if she would ever open her eyes again. A tear rolled down his cheek and he reminisced on all they had gone through together. She was all he had left and he wasn’t going to lose her. The doctor called him and revealed a shocking discovery. He told Kingsley that Lucinda was stabilising and that she had not taken the sleeping tablet but somebody had tried to kill her. He was convinced that the bruises on Lucinda’s head was as a result of struggle, she was pushed to the ground. Kingsley was shocked, he couldn’t imagine that anybody would want to hurt his sister.
“There is more”

Announced the doctor

“Your sister is pregnant”

It dawned on him that it was possible the pregnancy was the reason there was an attempt on her life. He became furious. He vowed to find the person responsible for the pregnancy, he was certain the same person was responsible for putting Lucinda in that condition.

Kingsley was influential in his school but in Lucinda’s school, he needed to raise an army. He was prepared to do whatever it took to get revenge for his sister. He placed a call to a contact in the Brotherhood Confraternity in his school. He was assured that he would be contacted by the brotherhood in Lucinda’s school. Before long his phone rang,

“Hello”

“Is this Kingsley?”

“Who is this?”

“Do you need a brother?”

Kingsley immediately knew that this was someone from the brotherhood.

“Yes I do”

“Be at the architecture studio in one hour”

The person on the other side didn’t wait for a response. He just dropped the call.

Kingsley was blinded by his desire to obtain vengeance for his sister and was willing to go any length to see that justice was served. He got on his feet, reached for his bag and set out for the architecture studio.

He got to the location a few minutes earlier and was surprised that it was very busy. Usually the brotherhood would pick a secluded location to discuss business.

His phone rang and he was directed to another location a few blocks away. He was sure they were watching him.

Three guys walked up to him. They looked so polished and calm.

“Hello Kingsley, welcome to our school”

He wasn’t yet sure if they were the people he was expecting. He was hoping they would introduce themselves as they weren’t flying any colours.

“The Chief said you need to solve a mystery. You would pay 30K now and 30K afterwards”

He was glad that the price he had to pay was in cash, that way he wasn’t indebted to the brotherhood afterwards. He nodded in affirmation and they took him to their rallying point.
