We are a generation that has mastered the art of faking and masking. Instead of fixing the root cause of our emptiness, insecurities and character flaws, we waste our time masking ourselves and covering up. We eat sumptuously to mask our spiritual hunger. We look successful on the outside, but internally drowning in the cesspool of spiritual failure. We look happy externally, but stressed and depressed internally. We wear fake smiles while our hearts are smoldering in real hate.

We have hundreds of friends on Facebook to mask our loneliness in real life. We fly high externally, but drowning low internally. We drive nice cars with expensive turn by turn navigation systems to cover up for the loss of our spiritual compass. We're spiritual immobile and directionless. We wear designer labels in an attempt to cover up our spiritual nakedness. We have fake hair, fake nails, fake profiles pictures but a real desperately wicked heart. Do not be deceived. Designer labels cannot cover spiritual nakedness. Delicious meals cannot satisfy spiritual hunger. Expensive perfumes cannot cover up stinking attitudes.

Jesus said, "Woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of the bones of the dead and of everything unclean." (Matthew 23:27) How long shall you fake and mask? If you're tired, Jesus says, "Come to me you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)
